Polygon क्या है?

Polygon एक blockchain infrastructure platform है जिसकी मौजूदा product strategy stablecoin payments और global money movement पर विशेष ध्यान देती है। यह public EVM-compatible network, cross-chain interoperability, dedicated chain infrastructure, wallets, fiat connectivity, compliance tools और settlement services को एक साथ जोड़ता है।

अधिकांश users जिस network का उपयोग करते हैं, वह Polygon Chain है, जिसे आज भी व्यापक रूप से Polygon PoS कहा जाता है। यह Ethereum से जुड़ा EVM-compatible blockchain है, जहाँ users transactions भेजते हैं, applications deploy करते हैं, payments settle करते हैं, POL में gas चुकाते हैं और validator तथा staking economy में भाग लेते हैं।

Polygon में क्या शामिल है?

Polygon Chain का Ethereum से संबंध

Polygon Chain, Ethereum Mainnet के बाहर transactions execute करता है और समय-समय पर अपनी state को Ethereum पर anchor करता है। इससे throughput बढ़ता है और transaction cost कम होती है, जबकि staking contracts, checkpoints और asset bridging के लिए Ethereum connection बना रहता है।

Polygon Chain दो मुख्य layers का उपयोग करता है:

Bor execution layer है। यह blocks बनाता है और EVM transactions execute करता है।
Heimdall consensus और checkpoint layer है। Validators, Polygon Chain की finalized state पर सहमत होते हैं, Ethereum-side staking events monitor करते हैं और checkpoints को Ethereum पर submit करते हैं।

Milestones, Polygon Chain के भीतर तेज finality देते हैं। Checkpoints, Polygon Chain state को Ethereum पर commit करते हैं और Ethereum withdrawal जैसी processes में उपयोग होते हैं। Architecture और मौजूदा finality model official Polygon Chain overview में documented हैं।

क्या Polygon एक Ethereum L2 है या sidechain?

Polygon नाम कई technologies को cover करता है, इसलिए हर Polygon product के लिए एक ही उत्तर सही नहीं होगा।

Polygon Chain / Polygon PoS को आमतौर पर Ethereum से जुड़ी Proof of Stake sidechain माना जाता है। इसका अपना validator set और consensus system है और यह checkpoints को Ethereum पर submit करता है। यह validity rollup या optimistic rollup के अर्थ में Ethereum rollup नहीं है।

Polygon के दूसरे infrastructure components का उपयोग dedicated rollups और connected chains बनाने में किया जा सकता है। इसलिए किसी specific network या product का नाम लिए बिना “Polygon एक L2 है” कहना बहुत व्यापक है।

Payments क्यों महत्वपूर्ण हैं?

Polygon Chain कई तरह की EVM applications को support करता है, लेकिन Polygon की वर्तमान strategy payments और stablecoin settlement पर खास ध्यान देती है। Payment applications को low transaction cost, fast confirmation, broad wallet support, predictable settlement और fiat तथा on-chain balances के बीच reliable connectivity की जरूरत होती है।

POL की आवश्यकता क्यों है?

POL Polygon ecosystem का native token है और इसने Polygon Chain के gas तथा staking token के रूप में MATIC की जगह ली है।

POL केवल market ticker नहीं है। इसका उपयोग transactions के भुगतान, validator system की economic security, network incentives के distribution और Polygon Chain तथा Ethereum-side protocol contracts के बीच महत्वपूर्ण economic flows के accounting में होता है।
